Program Qualification Level

Midwifery Undergraduate Program; Higher Education Qualifications Framework to Turkey (TYYÇ) by education level is level 6 is located in the Basic Health Area.In addition, it is at the 1st level according to the "European Higher Education Area Qualifications Framework (QF-EHEA) and 6th level according to the" European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning "(EQF-LLL).

Objectives of the Program

The purpose of midwifery department is to train professional midwives who have the knowledge, skills and attitude to serve in every field required by the profession, adopts the philosophy of midwifery and ethical values, sensitive to women and their problems, adopt scientific problem-solving systematic and lifelong learning. In addition, it is aimed that our graduates will be midwives who make a difference in every field in which they work with professional knowledge and skills, human values and scientific approach

Length and Process of the Program

Education period is 8 semesters.

A minimum of 240 ECTS credits must be obtained on condition that there are 30 ECTS in each academic year. 
Successful completion of all courses and having a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are required for graduation.

Application to the Program, Registrations and Admission by Transfer

Midwidery Departmant is accepted with MF-3 score of the YGS and the LYS exams that is organized by the “Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi” (ÖSYM). In addition, students are accepted the Foreign Students Examination (YÖS) and the Health Sciences University principles of the Institutional and Inter-Institutional Transition.

Job and Academic Career Opportunities for Graduates

Graduates of midwifery department can work in related to midwifery profession all departments of public, private and university hospitals and in institutions where primary health services (family health centers, community health centers, health houses etc.) are carried out. At the same time, graduates can continue to graduate programs and become academicians.
