Program Qualification Level

Child Development Program is a 2-year (4 semesters) program with 120 ECTS credits. The program meets the specified conditions and level qualifications inthe "Quick Level (Short Cycle)" of“Qualification Framework for European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA)”within the Bologna Process, and level-5 qualifications defined in "Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)".

Objectives of the Program

Our main objective is to trainprofessional staff who can adoptthe concepts and principles related to the subject, combine the theoretical knowledge acquired with practice, fulfil the professional requirements of the profession, prepare programs suitable for the development levels of children at the same time, provide education such as music, painting, drama, education and life quality of children, contribute tochildren's development and education, and work in institutions and organizations that offer child development and education in the field of implementation, productive and developing.

Students who successfully complete the program are given the title of “Associate Degree” and “Child Developmentist”.

Length and Process of the Program

The program consists of 4 semesters (2 years). Students are required to take a total of 120 ECTS courses and to complete their summer internship.

Application to the Program, Registrations and Admission by Transfer

Students are admitted to the Child Development program by the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Students who have been placed according to the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) score and OSYS results can register to the program on the dates indicated on the university website. Candidates wishing to apply to the relevant program of our university by transfer can apply to the program by taking into consideration the application dates within the framework of the Higher Education Council's Transfer Regulation and the university's transfer directions.

Job and Academic Career Opportunities for Graduates

Graduates of the Child Development Program are able to transfer to the Pre-School Education, Child Development and Education Education, Special Education and Social Services Undergraduate Programs with the qualification they provide in the vertical transfer exam thanks to the course programs compatible with the 4-year faculty departments. In addition, students who have completed this program can work in pre-school education centers of private and public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, day care homes, kindergartens, kindergartens, child health centers and special education centersconnected to social services and child protection institution.
