Program Qualification Level

Dental Prosthetics Technology program (short level in the Bologna Process Higher Education Qualifications Framework, fifth level in TYYÇ) is an associate degree program with a focus on vocational education and application, especiallydesigned to meet the needs within the field and business andalso to provide basic knowledge and practical application competenciesof graduates. The programclassification and training area codes are given below according to "International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) 2011" and "Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)":

Objectives of the Program

Our main objective is to traindental prosthesis technicians that are sensitive to people, society and ethical principles, respectful to himself and his environment, proficient in the profession,can improve oneself continuously, adopt scientific thinking, are open to different thoughts and cultures, and work in public institutions and private organizations in the health sector, and also to educate qualified manpower equipped with professional knowledge and skills to assist dentist and conduct laboratory stages.

Students who successfully complete the program are given “Associate Degree Diploma” and “Dental Prosthesis Technician” title.

Length and Process of the Program

Duration of education is 4 semesters. During the education process, a minimum of 120 ECTS must becompleted, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS. Our students will do their internship in the relevant departments of the university and the application and research hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health. Internship evaluation and applications are done according to the principles of Internship Directions of Vocational School of Health Services.

Application to the Program, Registrations and Admission by Transfer

Entry requirements for this program are determined by OSYM in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Higher Education Institution.Students who complete the program are given the opportunity to transfer to the Health Administration and Health Management Departments according to their score from the DGS. Job and Academic Career Opportunities for Graduates

Graduates of this program can work as a dental prosthesis technician in public and private health institutions. In addition, they can work as a health technician in scientific research carried out atuniversities in Turkey and abroad.
